Big Special - Leeds Festival 2024

Home of Indie attended Leeds Festival last week to see all the new acts expected to rise to the main sage in coming years and we're here to let you in on the stand out perfomances!

Bar the mist of flying gazebos, Saturday saw Big Special take to the Festival Republic stage and wake everyone up for the weekend!

Big Special, the punk duo from Birmingham played on the Festival Republic stage at Leeds this year and they were definately not one to miss. The energy between Joe and Callum instantly set the mood for the set. Callum Moloney, the man on the 'Pots and Pans' as described by Joe on Saturday had the crowd in laughters before the set had started.

the crowd quickly picked up as the set when on with a full tent by the end, thanks to Callum actually coming into the crowd to round us up closer to the stage, even more could get in. From start to finish the tracks were great and you got a sence each song had strong emotion behind them. Stand out songs for us included 'SHITHOUSE', 'THIS HERE AIN'T WATER', and 'BLACK DOG / WHITE HORSE'. The set ended with Callum climbing the tents scaffolding while Joe joining the crowd. Big special and ones to watch for the future and we are exited to see them again soon.
